(top to bottom) Hobonichi Techno 2014, Filofax Original, Midori Traveler’s Notebook & Moleskine hard cover red notebook

It’s barely even the third month of the year, and already I am feeling planner itch. I blame it on the copious of Pinterest and Tumblr stalking I have been doing; photo after photo of Hobonichis and Midoris are driving me crazy.

Currently…
[x] Filofax is my main carry-around planner, with daily appointments, to-dos and random notes on the go. It is getting a bit heavy, as it always does, and although I love the Original, having it in Personal size means the bigger rings cause the planner to bulk up easily and that’s always a strain.

[x] I am in love with my Hobonichi. I love the cover, the planner itself, and the paper. Oh, the Tomoe River paper. So much so that I actually went and bought a whole new other notebook and notepad that uses only Tomoe River paper. My only gripe is that the diary pages are dated, and there’s only one miniscule page for each day. For someone with word diarrhea like me and whose handwriting can go from big to small and all over the place, this isn’t a good idea. Currently using this as my daily reflections journal.

[x] The Moleskine is a continuation from last year, and I am loathed to leave it half-used, because of how expensive they are here. I’ve always loved that Moleskines opened flat, are a great size for writing and the paper is of fairly decent quality (yes, I know there’s an ongoing debate about this!) Currently using this as a prayer journal.

[x] Midori, Midori, Midori. Since I bought this baby about a year ago (because I love, love, love the leather), I’ve not really used it properly. Occasionally, I’ve carried it around on travels and for work notes, but I’ve never really used it. Which is such a pity, because I do love the leather. I think one of the main problems is that the books don’t open flat instantly, and I don’t use them enough to train them. Toying with the idea of getting new inserts this year, and using it as a bullet journal, or as a list journal. I really need to get on with my 365/30 lists… I have been slacking off.
